pop of color

i'm really loving the color coral lately. i've actually always like it! its one of those colors that i have a lot of in jewelry, tops, skirts, yada yada yada...buuuuuutttttt what i dont have are any CORAL SHOES. everytime i look at an outfit, i think what could make the look POP a little more?? so with all the color blocking and bright ideas going on for spring right now, i thought why not add a great pair of peachy/orangey pumps to each outfit (i know im soooo smart-wink wink) below are two pairs i have my eyes set on right now....

LuLu's- $99

LuLu's-$131

a few quick tips on how to add the pop or color to your wardrobe....
1. pair coral shoes with contrasting colors... like a royal blue dress or with a pair of bright yellow skinny jeans
2. replace your brown clogs with a vibrant pair of coral ones to snazz up your netural tone outfit
2. stand out in your simple white blouse and blue jeans with pair of peachy shoes

shoes vs savings account

after reading an article posted on huffingtonpost this morning, i realized that i probably wasn't in their target audience. its not that i didn't know that before, but after this morning i finally came to grips with it. when i usually read their fashion articles, i can for the most part relate and feel the same way. its the ones that suggest what you should buy that i get completely abandoned by them. so that leads me to my article that i read this morning.

the article published was about sensible shoes that are still stylish. they let you dance the night away, strut up and down the mall, or look irresistible on a date night without smooshing your little nuggets. this article screamed to me- recently i went to a party and i thought my new leopard pumps were going to be the perfect piece to my outfit, lets just say i might as well have gone and put a $100 on black that night at the casino. my odds of winning are higher than the odds of me EVER wearing those pumps again. so whats the problem with the article you might ask? the problem i have is with the shoes they found, and I'm not talking about how the shoes' looked but I'm referring to the price tags that came with the shoes. as i was flipping through the slide show of shoes, i started to realize that i had seen plenty of shoes like that before, but they weren't near that expensive. so i gave my self a mission this morning- to find not only SENSIBLE shoes with STYLE, but SENSIBLE shoes with STYLE and an AFFORDABLE PRICE TAG

UGGly

A recent article by Daily Mail proved why knock off ugg boots can be a serious health risk to women's precious feet. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU for giving me one more reason NEVER to purchase knock offs any shape or form of an ugg boot. Its bad enough that women continue to wear these awful shaped boots season after season -EVEN though they do not flatter or enhance any outfit what so ever! Hopefully now with medical expert advice- women will put a stop to the ugg boots.

Dr. Ian Drysdale, the head of the British College of Osteopathic Medicine, said, “Because these boots are warm and soft, young girls think they are giving their feet a break. In fact, they are literally breaking their feet.” Drysdale continued, “Their feet are slipping around inside. With each step, the force falls towards the inside of the foot and the feet splay. This flattens the arch and makes it drop. The result can be significant problems with the foot, the ankle, and ultimately, the hip.”
